Jamie and Sidney were assinged to bring a poem they had written to Activity Days tonight. They both have written lots of poems, so I assumed they would just take one of these previously written poem with them. When I picked them up tonight, Sidney shared the following poem with me. She wrote it on the way to Activity Days and it brought tears to my eyes. There is hope that they will make it through the next few years living under the same roof and I saw evidence of that tonight, both in Sidney's sweet words and Jamie's smile when Sidney shared them with her.
MY SISTER
My sister, she is funny and kind.
Sometimes she's mean, but I don't mind.
I really love her so.
But I don't think she knows.
I really love my sister.
