Visiting the new American Girl Store in Chicago was a definite highlight of our trip. We were amazed at how big it was and we enjoyed exploring it without crowds. The biggest surprise was when Papa rode up the escalator as we were about to head back down. We had no idea he was coming and the granddaughters were especially thrilled to see him....a little bat of their eyelashes and they each escaped with their own little American Girl loot. (Check out how happy Papa is in the picture below while carrying several of the packages, I think he enjoyed it as much as the girls!) 
Jamie got a pair of pajamas for Ruthie and a new Skate outfit for Nicki. Sidney got a tap dance costume for Molly and new pets, a llama name Starburst and a yorkie named Sugar. Hanah got a new outfit for her bitty baby and Lydia got her first bitty baby twin!
