Scout Encampment

No pictures to share...but Riley came home with a great report from his first year at Scout camp. He was the first one up each morning and many of the scout leaders commented about his great attitude! Riley did take a stow away with him...Beanie (the stuffed koala that Riley has had since he was 6 weeks old) came home smelling worse than Riley and his clothes did. He also came home with another friend, the wood tick that he discovered in his hair on the way to church this morning! We made a quick turn around in the church parking lot and headed to urgent care to have him removed.

This is the letter we received on Thursday from Riley:

Dear Mom,
Camp has been a fun experience. The Merit Badges I am doing: First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, Wood Carving. NO I have not cut myself. We have gone swimming, canoeing, and rifle shooting. We also have suffered from the heat which is killing us. We do very fun activities. The food is like a 5 course buffet. It isn't as good as your food though. Talk to you soon.
Love, Riley

I am so glad that Riley didn't cut himself, survived the heat and still loves my cooking!
